The white tipped black feathers of the now extinct Huia bird were worn by Maori chiefs (both male and female) as head adornments to signify great mana (status and authority).
Three little feathers (the largest is 24mm x 5mm), hand painted with porcelain paint in black, tinged with gold, and tipped with silver. Hanging from a sterling silver ring and ear hooks.
Please see care instructions for these earrings on our Customer Service Page. Please DO NOT use silver dip for cleaning.
